Celebrations - Cake night on Monday 24th October

A cake night on Monday 24th October - to congratulate our players who competed in the Kodokan National Titles. Judo club members and parents are welcome to attend this night. Training will be from 7.00pm to 8.l5pm and then we can feast on some beautiful cakes.

Kodokan National Titles 2011

Gawler Judo Club players competed in this competition last weekend.
We had five members join the Kodokan State Team and our players achieved One gold, two silvers and one bronze. All players fought extremely well and enjoyed the experience.

Kodokan National Titles 2011

The Kodokan Judo Association will be holding their National Titles in Adelaide in October 2011. Gawler Judo Club has five players competing in these titles. Derrick Learmond, Philip Reisinger, Azalea and Shenara Graham and Chelsea West. These players have successfully completed the competition and training requirements to gain elegibility. The committee and players of Gawler Judo Club wish them all the best in the National Titles.

Competition results

Recently at the Kodokan Judo competition held at Edwardstown, Gawler Judo Club entered 18 contestants, some in their first competition.
Gold medal winners in the junior division were Derick and Caleb; silver medal winners were Samantha, Phillip, Jordan, Bradley, Kehdanse and Carley; bronze medal winners were Sean, Seth and Nicolette.
Other entrants who fough extremely well, just missing out on a medal, were Krystian,Jonthon and Deklahn.
Also, at the recent State Judo Titles held by Judo SA, Chelsea took out the gold medal in the under 52k young women's division. Congratulations to all for a job well done.

Beginners - judogi hire                                              $10.00

Hire of judogi after 10 lesson block is used                $1.00 per session.

Until Yellow belt grading when it is expected that the player will purchase their own judogi. All players are encouraged to purchase their own judogi for their yellow belt grading as from this time they will be charged $5.00 per training session for use of club judogi.
