CONGRATULATIONS to Chelsea for taking second place in the 2009 Messenger Sports Award
Rural Girl division

Gawler judokas performed well in two recent competitions. The first was a Kodokan competition
held at Seacliff with the Gawler Judo Club winning medals all round.

Successful competitors were Jordan winning silver in the U66 K division and Calum taking silver in the
U51k division.  Tyler Zecchini entered his first competition and took out a silver medal in the U47K
division. Stephan fought out of his division won a silver medal as well.

On November 21 the second competition was held at the Scorpion Judo Club at O'Sullivans Beach
with successful competitors from the club once again.

Jordan and Calum both winning gold in their divisions.  Ashlee fighting well in the U63 division took out
gold in her first contest. Chelsea taking first place in the U52k taking gold.

The Gawler Judo Club will be training over the school holidays on Thursday nights.

HOT WEATHER POLICY

If the temperature has reached 36 degrees during the day (in Adelaide) and is recorded thus on Channel 10 News at 5pm on either a Monday or Thursday then JUDO  training will be cancelled.

Club News



Recently our club took part in a demonstration at the Gawler Show, it was well received and our players were happy showing their knowledge to the viewers and then were able to walk around the show grounds even though they had to dodge the showers. What a day, it poured but that actually helped bring the people inside to watch us.
